How We Collect Prices

Step 1: Supplier Quotation Outreach

Our analyst team contacts 3–5 active suppliers per material category in each GCC country every 14 days. We collect formal quotations or indicative market rates directly from trading companies, manufacturers and distributors.

Step 2: Market Cross-Reference

Collected quotations are cross-referenced against publicly available import data, commodity futures (LME copper, global steel benchmarks, oil-linked materials), and regional trading reports to identify outliers.

Step 3: Analyst Verification

A senior analyst reviews any price that deviates more than 8% from the previous entry or from the GCC regional average. Outliers require a second source confirmation before publication.

Step 4: Publication & Confidence Rating

Verified prices are published with a confidence rating (High / Medium / Low) based on the number of sources, recency, and market volatility. Low-confidence prices are flagged for priority re-verification.
